The next oldest recorded event for this Looney family is the following gravestone in Kildimo Graveyard which borders the Looney land in Quartermire, Knockanalban.  Kildimo South, Miltown Malbay, County Clare, Ireland is the adjoining townland.

This stone was erected for Michael Looney Sr. occupier of land in the 1825 and 1834 Tithe Applotment Books.
